‘Private Practice’ season 6 spoilers: Jake and Addison have company

Even though “Private Practice” may already be a few episodes into what is its sixth and possibly final season, there is still plenty of interesting content coming up; and for some more evidence of that, just check out some of the latest casting news that is coming our way now.

According to a brand-new report from TV Guide, former “GCB” star Marysol Nichols has been cast to play a pretty mysterious role in an episode that has already been titled “The World According to Jake.” With that in mind, it is fairly easy to ask one question: is this going to be a role that ends up hurting Jake’s relationship with Addison in any way?

While the sheer temptation of it all made us want to ask the question above, in reality it’s still far too early to tell, even though we do still have plenty of reasons to believe that there is still going to be some sort of tension or drama for the couple on the horizon. Why do we think that way? Really, it’s mostly just due to the fact that these sorts of questions are more often than not par for the course for scripted TV shows, and we have a hard time believing that Addison and Jake are going to have a season now that is stuffed full of happy moments and absolutely nothing else.

Nichols’ most-recent credit was the short-lived series “GCB” with Kristin Chenoweth, and this casting does confirm that she is at least staying within the ABC family for a while longer.

What sort of role do you think that Nichols could be playing? We want to hear more of your theories below!
