The Good Doctor season 3 promo analysis: Shaun, Carly’s date
Given that the ABC reality show was all about romance, it only makes sense that the new The Good Doctor promo cover the same subject. Within this video, you had a chance to see a brief little glimpse of Freddie Highmore’s character on his first date with Carly. He asked her out at the end of season 2, and then celebrated that in the most fantastic way imaginable.

Now, within this episode there is going to be an opportunity to see and learn more about this date — what happened, if things were successful, and if there is going to be a second date on the other side. We know that Jasika Nicole is going to be a series regular on the upcoming season and that is a reason for hope.
After getting a brief glimpse of Shaun’s date, you also have an opportunity in order to check out the other doctors asking him all about how it went. Because these doctors have been around Shaun for so long now, there is a real investment in him! They’re rooting for him and want him to be happy on the other side of whatever is coming with Carly.
The person we remain the most curious about, though, is Lea, who is not present in the promo. We know that she and Shaun have a history, so how is she going to feel on the other side of hearing about his date with Carly? It’s one thing for him to talk about wanting to be with someone else, but it’s different knowing that it has actually happened. We think that there could be some questions that she has to ask herself pertaining to her feelings and whether or not she made the right choice.
The Good Doctor season 3 airs Mondays this fall on ABC.
