Grey’s Anatomy season 16: Preparing for the start of filming!

In a new post on Twitter, show executive producer/performer Debbie Allen confirmed that they are “back” at work on the new season. That doesn’t mean that cameras are officially rolling, but everyone is getting set to make season 16 the best batch of episodes possible. All indications that are out there suggest that filming is going to kick off within the days ahead — there’s been a lot of technical stuff done behind the scenes to better prepare for it.
Grey’s Anatomy season 16 is going to premiere this fall on ABC and through the coming weeks, we imagine that more significant updates will come out — think in terms of casting scoops and storyline hints. Entering this season, there are so many different things that the writers may need to address. Take, for example, what is going to happen when it comes Jackson after the character was MIA at the end of this past season. Meanwhile, there is also the status of Meredith after she refused to let DeLuca take the fall over the insurance crisis. The premiere episode is going to do everything that it can in order to tackle some of these issues but then also set up some more stories, as well. There are new horizons that the show is going to explore!
One of the last remaining questions that we have is simply one of filming. Are we going to end up seeing some cast members head up to Seattle? That’s something that we’ve seen the series do over the past few couple of years, and it would be fun to see them continue to make this a tradition. It gives the show that much more authenticity since the majority of it is filmed in Los Angeles.
