Claws season 3 episode 8 promo: Carrie Preston directs!
As the promo below reveals, this upcoming episode is going to feature Carrie Preston behind the scenes in this role! This is the second time this month that Claws has allowed a cast member to direct, as Niecy Nash took on the role previously for the first time. This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Preston serve as a director in her career, but this is the first time that she’s gotten the opportunity to take on the role for an episode of a serialized scripted TV show. She had to be eager to explore the various is and outs of the gig, especially with a cast that is so collaborative in supportive in the first place.

Speaking of collaboration and support, a lot of these characters are going to need all of that based on what is coming on this upcoming episode. At the start of this episode, Mac, Melba, and Desna are all going to being given quite the ultimatum by the triad representative who arrived on this past episode — show up with some money. Unless he gets it, there’s a chance that Arlene won’t be the only one who turns up dead. This is an intimidating situation and at this point, it feels like the triad could end up being the true Big Bad at the end of the metaphorical road.
Is Desna going to have to end up working with Mac and Melba? She may not want to, but the situation that they all find themselves in right now may be dictated somewhat on convenience. You have to deal with the cards that you’ve been given and right now, the cards that all three characters have are not great. They’re going to need each other on some level if they want to get through the situation that they’re in.
