Jack Ryan season 2 teaser released, still no premiere date
Within the teaser, you can see the show’s title character navigate some tough, difficult waters while undergoing some new missions in South America. You can see some new, daring stunts, dangerous threats, and a new setting in south America. In general, though, we would argue that this teaser serves as a reminder of what Amazon loves about this series. This is an opportunity for them to embrace fully the idea of an action-heavy franchise and something that has a genuine big-budget movie feel to it.
What’s the most exciting about season 2 is simply the fact that Amazon and show producers know more about what worked/didn’t work about the first season. They can build on what they’ve done and create an experience that is more immersive … and also one where we get to know Jack and some other characters a little bit better. Here’s top hoping that along the way, they keep serving us some more Wendell Pierce goodness.

One of the biggest surprises with this teaser, though, comes via the realm of what they don’t show us — the actual premiere date. All it says is that season 2 is coming soon. We’re sure that it will be out before the end of the year, and there is a part of our brain that almost wonders if this could be a surprise episode drop where Amazon gives you all of the episodes without much buildup leading into it. That’s doubtful (think about how big of a promotional campaign that they did for season 1), but still something to think about. There is already a renewal out there for season 3, so it’s nice to know that they are showing some faith with the future of Jack Ryan as a whole.
Also, we’re sure a part of their faith is them wanting to lock in series star John Krasinski. Let’s remember for a moment or two here that John has a lot of different irons in the fire and they want to make sure he remains front and center.
