Are you interested in learning what’s next on Krypton season 2 episode 8? Well, a lot of it going to start with this: A jaw-dropper. That’s the big reason to be compelled and motivated to keep watching, of course beyond just the battles, the characters, and the comic-book mythology.
Through this upcoming episode entitled “Mercy,” Zod’s fleet is going to be central to the story as we see Dev and Jayna work alongside Seg and Nyssa — while they have a common goal, that doesn’t mean that they will react to what they end up finding the same way. This is where the road couple split and we end up seeing some people with their jaws on the floor.

When you think about both the details in this synopsis, coupled of course with where we are in the season, it should be clear that we’re looking towards an action-packed installment. There’s not a lot of time left to dawdle around!
If you do want to get more of a sense of what Zod is going to be up to within next week’s episode, just take a look at the sneak peek below! Within that, he shows his commitment to figure things out in regards to Doomsday. It’s that commitment that makes him both a magnetic and dangerous character to watch.
Beyond the story of Krypton, the other prevailing mystery lies within whether or not there’s a chance for it to return for more. Its live ratings in both viewers and the 18-49 demographic are down significantly versus the first season — think more than 40%. If you look across most of television, shows with that sort of year-to-year decline have a tendency to go away before long. Add to that Syfy’s reputation for canceling series early on in their run and we’re worried. We’ll keep charting the numbers and see where things go as we near the end of the season.
