Is Mike Johnson on Bachelor in Paradise season 6?

Is Mike Johnson, from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, going to be a part of Bachelor in Paradise season 6? Going into the premiere in two weeks, there has been a lot of mystery all about his status. We know that he is a contender to be the Bachelor, and there’s going to be enthusiasm all about seeing what happens with him.

Well, last night’s Bachelor in Paradise trailer does seem to give some of the game away. If you watch the trailer below closely, you can see a quick glimpse of Mike through some of the surrounding chaos. He is not included in the photo above, and not was he featured in the original cast announcement. Odds are, he doesn’t arrive until an episode or two into the season and ABC wanted to keep his inclusion under wraps until after he was done with Hannah Brown’s season. Hence, the subtle inclusion of him now in the trailer.

As for everyone who sees Mike on this show as a sign that he’s not going to be the next Bachelor, we wouldn’t read anything into it right now. Remember that both Nick Viall and also Colton Underwood were each selected after being a part of Bachelor in Paradise, so this is not some nail in the coffin like it previously was. We think it can give contenders a little more exposure and familiarity with viewers, but there is that other concern here that this show does something to hurt your reputation or how America sees you. If they think that you’re doing something shady there, they won’t support you to be a lead.

Mike doing Bachelor in Paradise season 6 is a risk; maybe he didn’t think he had much of a shot at being the lead, or maybe producers convinced him that it wouldn’t hurt his chances. Either way, you’ll be seeing him there at some point in the season.
