Blue Bloods season 10 filming: Donnie Wahlberg & a car on fire!
Just in case you wanted a small tease of some Blue Bloods season 10 premiere action, here it is — at some point at the start of the season, you will see Donnie Wahlberg and a car on fire!
In a new post on his Instagram Stories, you can see the actor behind Danny Reagan doing a scene with a man who is coming out of a car on fire. There may be some extra effects added in after the fact but judging from what we see here, this fiery car is likely a central part of whatever case Danny is working on this episode.
Soon after sharing the scene, Donnie also posted a picture of himself alongside some New York City fire department employees on scene, there to make sure that the stunt didn’t end up getting out of hand.
How exciting is this?
Insofar as premiere stunts go, it’s pretty intense. Blue Bloods doesn’t do a lot of heavy action stuff so anytime you see something outside of the norm, it’s exciting. This is also the sort of thing that would generate headlines, which would give Danny more of a high-profile case to take on as a detective. It’s the sort that Frank could have input on after the fact, and also one that Erin could be willing to eventually oversee as a part of the District Attorney’s Office.
To date, most of the Blue Bloods season 10 premiere content we’ve shared has been Danny-centric and there is a simple reason for that: Donnie is the most active cast member on social media. Vanessa Ray will occasionally share some stuff, but of some of the main regulars who are constantly out in the field, Will Estes only posts here and there and Tom Selleck isn’t on social media at all. Donnie’s the social-media ambassador for the show much of the time and he’s not there for all of the other scenes that are filmed. Most of are teases are, therefore, through his lens and we really appreciate that he does share his experiences with everyone.
Blue Bloods season 10 premieres on CBS this September.
