Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 9 return date on AMC
Over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, the network confirmed that Sunday, August 11 is when we’ll see Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lennie James, and the rest of the cast back with new episodes. This is also when they unveiled a new trailer showing off more in terms of some of the stuff coming up in the second half of the season. Because Alicia is featured in that trailer, you knew even entering tonight’s episode that she was going to be okay. With that, there are some other things that you can shift your focus to … for now. Her fate could still be in question down the road.

Moving forward, Fear the Walking Dead seems to be telling a story that is once again about survival, but is also following in the footsteps of everything that we’ve seen so far this season. It’s more of a positive zombie tale about helping people and working to make such a thing possible. We did wonder for the better part of these past several episodes if they were helping anyone at all, but that was before Alicia was able to save some of those kids. They’re trying, but their primary problem is that in the zombie apocalypse, it’s not easy having a lot of resources. That is something that they are going to have to deal with now moving forward.
As for the long-term future beyond season 5, know that the zombie drama is coming back for a season 6. In between this, at least one more season of The Walking Dead proper, and the new series that is in development about the first generation of people born in the apocalypse, there’s a lot of good stuff on the pipeline.
