The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All video: Mike Johnson’s interview

Coming up on Monday night, you’re going to have a chance to see The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All! We recognize far in advance that the vast majority of the special is going to be just about Luke Parker and all of his drama with Hannah Brown — and we get it. What happened there was one of the most dramatic fights we’ve witnessed throughout the entirety of the series and it’s still the main subject of conversation.

For the remainder of this article, though, let’s shift gears and focus on something a little bit more uplifting: The story of Mike Johnson. This is a man who was very interested in bringing Hannah home in order to meet the three women who were the most important in his life — he felt like he was charting towards a proposal but then, she sent him home before hometown dates. That was a hard thing for Mike to handle.

In the sneak peek below, you can hear Mike talk a little bit more about what happened but, to go along with that, some of how he’s feeling in the aftermath of what happened. Mike comes across as smart, thoughtful, and caring — basically, the perfect candidate to become the Bachelor. We don’t think any firm decision has been made at the moment on who the next star will be but it’s a three-person race between Mike, Tyler, and Peter. Tyler is by far the most popular contestant this season, but sometimes being the most popular contestant doesn’t mean you’d be the best Bachelor. Mike does have a great story and would be a great ambassador for the show through the entire process.

For now, we’ll see how things play out on Monday night — for everyone understandably tired of all of the Luke mess, Mike’s at least someone you can look forward to seeing.
