Suits season 9 episode 2 preview: A fight with Faye Richardson
Rather than removing the name of Robert Zane from the firm, tonight’s premiere saw the arrival of Faye Richardson from the New York Bar. If Zane’s fellow name partners weren’t going to make a big change, she was going to come in and change as much as humanly possible. That could mean dismissing other attorneys and doing what she can to weed out all of the perceived darkness. In her mind, the firm having a bad reputation is the New York Bar having a bad reputation — they’re going to take this seriously, and we have to imagine that the history of some other people at the firm like Jessica Pearson plays a role. (Speaking of which, we’re excited to see what the enthusiasm for Pearson as a series is going to be!)

How do you find a way to shoo off someone like Faye Richardson? She’s not going to go quietly and knowing what we know about Harvey Specter, he’s not going to take Robert Zane’s name down just because the Bar tells him to. That’s not what a guy like him is interested in doing. He wants to cause chaos and he wants to do everything that he can in order to protect those he cares about — and that includes Robert. He’s not going to betray Samantha after fighting so hard to secure that the two are on the same page.
On the Darvey front, you better believe that we’re going to see a lot of fantastic moments between the two of them. This relationship is one of the fundamental building blocks for Suits and after so much waiting, we’re ready to see it coming into full bloom.
