Black Ink Crew: Chicago season 5 episode 17 preview: Charmaine & an ultimatum
In the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, you can get a sense of some of what’s coming — for Charmaine, she kicks things off by saying that since she left 9MAG, she’s feeling like she’s in a much better place. She’s been able to focus more on some of the stuff she loves, and that includes potentially hosting a web show online.
Yet, despite being away from 9MAG, she makes it clear that she is still interested in going back there. Some of those people are her family and she wants to be there to “help out” here and there. She doesn’t want to be around full-time, but it will give her a chance to diversify. Plus, with Lily out of the picture, there could be some more possibilities for her to work there.
Below, you can check out the Black Ink Crew: Chicago season 5 episode 17 synopsis with some additional information all about what’s coming:
Van fires Lily after she tarnishes the 9MAG brand at the tattoo convention; Neek gives Charmaine an ultimatum; Ryan and Phor fly to Los Angeles.
So what is this ultimatum? As the sneak peek reveals, he doesn’t believe that 9MAG is the right home for her. He wants to propose to her, but he doesn’t know if her schedule and working with 9MAG is going to be able to make that possible. Her being with them, in his mind, creates an energy of frustration. He doesn’t want her to be back there — it’s as simple as that. This is what Neek’s ultimatum to Charmaine seems to be all about — either she stick around 9MAG and jeopardize the relationship, or she commit to the relationship and move away from 9MAG. This is not exactly a fair position for her to be put in, but this is a part of the drama that she’s left to deal with right now. We’ll see what transpires the rest of the way when this Black Ink Crew: Chicago comes on the air.
