America’s Got Talent video: Lukas & Falco arrive at Judge Cuts
There are two things that we know about Simon — he loves dogs and he also may very well think that The Greatest Showman is the best movie of all time. Therefore, the entirety of this act (as seen in the sneak peek below) is set around a circus while “This Is Me” is playing in the background. Falco does a number of exceptional tricks, including some leaps and, at one point, unrolling of a carpet. Perhaps the most incredible moment of the entire act is when Falco circles Lukas while Lukas juggles three bowling pins while balancing on a rubber ball. It may be one of the few times we’ve ever seen the human in a dog act show off a talent of their own that’s separate from one of their animals. It does make this a more well-rounded act, one where Lukas isn’t being upstaged by his dog 100% of the time.

Beyond the quality and the quick pacing of the act, there is still an emotional story that makes this all the more endearing — Lukas recognizes that at ten years old, Falco’s not going to be able to keep doing these performances much longer. He’s viewing this almost as a farewell tour and an opportunity for the two of them to be able to go out on stage and end their performing career together on a high note.
Judging from what we’ve got within this video, we do think that Lukas and Falco will be continuing to perform for at least a little while longer. We know that Judge Cuts are a lot more competitive than the auditions, but it’s hard to imagine him being eliminated based on this and this alone.
