Agents of SHIELD season 6 episode 10 promo: Why did May shoot Sarge?
Instead, there are some other important things to ponder. Think about this, for example — what happened to May to cause her to kill Sarge? Was she really of her own mind? There’s a reason to think that there is some element of mind control going on here, or there was some sort of duplicate May or artificial creation running around. The evidence of the weirdness starts over with Davis and then bleeds itself over to Melinda, and it could go so much further than that.

The general sentiment that we have at the moment is simply this — so long as Izel is out there and free from SHIELD, she is really capable of anything. Given the control that she had over the Shrike, we have to imagine that there is so much more of her than anything that we’ve come to know to date.
All of this does come back to one thing — who is Sarge, really, and how does he factor into all of this? We think that were we to understand this character, we’d understand more of what is going on all across the board. There could even be similarities between what’s going on with him and then May — it’s possible that Sarge could be a warped form of Coulson who is unable to control himself. His backstory is a full creation and he just isn’t able to recognize it. That would make sense given the line that Izel stated about him having “no memories.”
