Snowfall season 3 episode 2 preview: Franklin’s new business model
Franklin’s power-hungry and he loves the spread of his empire, but we also don’t consider him to be a complete sociopath. He does care about some of the people close to them and wants to keep them safe. That’s why he will start to contemplate and look for a better way to get what he wants: Discretion. He wants to make that happen, and he’s willing to do virtually whatever he can in order to make sure he can have his cake and eat it too. That’s the dangerous game he plays — if he was really eager in keeping everyone safe, he’d let go of a chunk of his power. We’re just not altogether sure that he is capable of that.
For a little more news now regarding what lies ahead, we suggest that you check out the Snowfall season 3 episode 2 synopsis below:
Faced with mounting problems on the street, Franklin pivots his business model; Andre investigates a murder connected to Franklin’s family; Teddy uses Gustavo to help broker a new deal in Mexico, then receives a surprise visitor upon returning home.
What we take away from this is that we’re going to see Gustavo’s story continue to evolve in some surprising directions, and that the story of Snowfall is still going to extend beyond Los Angeles. In general, though, we’d prefer to see the third season a little more contained on the city and on how the business impacts the personal lives of some of these characters. The inevitable comparisons between Breaking Bad and Snowfall are going to be present all year long — it’s great to see the rise of a drug kingpin, but also sad to see how it hurts those around them. In order to understand the full story, you have to understand the pain.
