What lies ahead on Yellowstone season 2 episode 4? Through next week’s episode, you’re going to see more of a power battle.
Think of things this way: For the bulk of tonight’s new episode, the priority was learning more about where Jamie Dutton stood in the midst of his campaign for Attorney General. Now that he’s decided to drop out of that race, the focus can then start to shift a little elsewhere. Think along the lines here of John and the current state of the ranch. He’s been enormously successful, but how far does that go? This is the season where more and more people are going to be coming at the ranch hoping to take a larger piece of the pie. He’s gotta contend with that — Beth is working on it, but she is just one person. There’s only so much that she can do to keep some of the vutures at bay.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Yellowstone season 2 episode 4 synopsis with some additional news on what you can expect:
John’s enemies strike a direct hit on the Yellowstone. John forms an unlikely alliance. Kayce has his first day as a livestock officer.
Kayce’s story this season has already shown itself to be a fascinating one. This is a guy who is trying to find his place within the ranch after losing a big chunk of his personal identity. We’ve already seen battles and leadership challenges come about since he started to be seen more around Yellowstone and it’s only going to get worse in some ways. He’s going to have to choose if he wants to fight to be at the center of this, or if he wants to go and try to win Monica back to his side.
As for Jamie, where does he go from here? Opting to not get involved in the Attorney General campaign may bring him a little closer to some within the family, but he has to now find his place again. He needs to figure out a way to breathe and a way to figure out what he wants his legacy to be. It is not going to be staying in his father’s shadow forever.
