Queen of the South season 4 episode 6 video: Will Tony stay away?
In the promo that CarterMatt has for you below, you can get a good sense of some of what’s coming in this episode, at least in terms of how Teresa tries to warn Tony away from some of the world that she is so far into. She recognizes that for her, there’s no escape — and we’re not sure that she would even want to. After being a part of this world for a long time, it does become much of what you know. This is a huge part of her identity and the major source of her income to go along with it. She’s already built something big in New Orleans in the amount of time that she’s been there, but she’s found out at the same time that there are a lot of consequences that come with being prominently entrenched within the city.
Beyond everything that is going on with Tony in this episode, Teresa may be doing what she can to prevent a drug war elsewhere. That’s why she is going to look towards Dumas in order to figure out a proper truce, a way to make things a little bit more stable before they escalate. Once that happens, then we’re at a point where it feels like we are really past the point of no return.
This episode of Queen of the South is going to move us closer to the halfway point in the season — otherwise known as when we’ll get a sense of where this story could be ending up. What we find ourselves wondering mostly is this: Are we going to end up seeing Teresa stay in New Orleans for good? A big part of what makes this character so interesting is that she’s been such a survivor and, even with her nomadic nature, she’s been able to figure out how to bounce from one place to the next and make contacts every step of the way.
