NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4 spoilers: The new rise of Chang

It there is one element of “Community’s” fourth season that is still a major mystery to us at the moment, it is what in the world the show has planned for Ken Jeong’s character of Change. When we spoke to Danny Pudi, he claimed that no one really knew just what the former professor-turned security guard overlord was going to be up to after his child army completely and totally fell apart.

So what are we really going to see from Ken Jeong’s character moving forward? Speaking as a part of a chat with TVLine, executive producer David Guarascio makes it clear that there is some sort of plan that is in place for the character; however, this is going to be some sort of a slow burn rather than something that you see all of right away:

“There’s a season-long arc for him, that we can describe in just one word: resurrection.”

There’s something incredibly appealing about the subtitle “The Rise of Chang,” and therefore there is a part of us that wants to stick that on the show moving forward (even though we won’t). At the moment, the real question is just when we are finally going to see “Community” air after its original premiere date (which was going to be Friday) is no longer happening. Our personal guess? That NBC is going to give “Animal Practice” another episode Wednesday to try and see how it fares, and if it continues to cover around a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, we could see the Greendale 7 return at some point during the November sweeps. “Community” is not a ratings monster, but it should fare decently away from “The Big Bang Theory” on Wednesday night.

What do want to see from Chang this season?
