The Rook episode 3 preview: Monica attends an EVA auction
Like with most things in the world, EVAs can have their powers used for both good and for evil; largely, it depends on both timing and context. While the Checquy is an organization that helps as many Extreme Variant Abilities as possible, there are still those who are outside their reach. There are others who are exploited and suffering; this is why Monica is going to be doing whatever she can in order to help. Moving into episode 3, you’ll have a better chance to see her undercover. Meanwhile, Myfanwy herself will have a separate mission where there are some unfortunate consequences of her actions.

Throughout the course of this episode, our hope is that we will have a larger sense of how Myfanwy is connecting the dots. Her dissociative amnesia is going to slowly come back and through that, there could be opportunities in order to learn what exactly happened at the bridge. Is there a way for her to unlock the vast majority of her powers that she hasn’t uncovered in her present-day mind? That’s a rather important thing to consider as the story for The Rook episode 3 begins to heat up. Remember that what she finds may be information that she is not altogether able to handle.
