Instinct season 2 episode 4 spoilers: The worst kind of party

When Instinct season 2 episode 4 airs on CBS on Sunday, July 21, you’re going to see the story of a party — but hardly the kind that someone wanted to attend. This feels more like the sort that people would want to run away from as soon as humanly possible. It becomes a crime scene and, as a result of that, Dylan and Lizzie are put on the case in order to get to the bottom of what really happened.

“Big Splash” – A Sweet 16 celebration turns into a crime scene when the birthday girl’s stepmother falls to her death and the guests and staff are put under a microscope by the NYPD. Also, Ryan finds a new lead in his investigation, and Lizzie receives some positive news at the precinct, on INSTINCT, Sunday, July 21 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We said for a little while now that one of the most appealing things about Instinct is its case of the week format, and that it finds a way to make all of its mysteries look and feel special. Within this episode, it’s mostly going to be fun seeing a number of the different party guests be interviewed. It’s very old school in this way, given that you’re going to see Dylan and Lizzie faced with a number of bizarre, colorful characters who are probably also young, rebellious, and used to lying. The problem is just getting some of them to open up and actually share what they saw, if they saw anything at all. It’s possible that this death was conspired by a number of different people, and it’s tied to something so much larger and conspiratorial than it seems on the surface. More than likely, we’ll see some sort of conclusion over the course of the episode.

Now, we just have to hope that more people watch Instinct season 2 in general. The show didn’t exactly get off to the greatest start in the ratings, and while we understand that it was put in a tough position this summer, we do want to see it do as well as it possibly can.
