Elementary season 7 episode 8 preview: The return of Cassie

ElementaryNext week on Elementary season 7 episode 8, you’re going to get a serious callback to a story from the show’s earlier days. No, we’re not talking about Moriarty (though that would be awesome and we continue to hope for a surprise reveal); instead, we’re thinking more about the return of Cassie Lenue! It’s been some time since she was a part of the show and she is hardly a huge character; nonetheless, it’s good to see Elementary remembering that Holmes and Watson have put away a lot of bad people during their run. The most of them disappear off into a void, but it makes sense that one or two would find a way to resurface.

With Cassie, it makes sense that she would be one of them. She’s as smart as they come when it comes to young criminals — she has to be in order to do what she did at her age. Now, she may be up to something else … or at least that’s what Sherlock and Joan are going to be suspecting. Why else would she suddenly claim that she needs help solving a murder case of her own? Maybe it’s something she caused behind bars, and she wants some help pointing the finger in a totally different direction.

Below, CarterMatt does offer the official Elementary season 7 episode 8 synopsis with more news all about what’s coming:

Within this episode, it feels like Ioannides is going to be at the forefront of the case — after all, her own profile is greater than it was when the character first appeared in 2016 thanks mostly to Into the Badlands. There’s also a little bit of fun to come from seeing how Sherlock reacts to facing a potential adversary who is so smart despite her young age. he’s used to being able to constantly out-think some of his competition; this may be different. Through this episode, he may have to work a little bit harder than usual in order to ensure that he gets what he wants — justice, and answers.
