‘Private Practice’ season 6 spoilers: First look at Sam’s mom!
Thanks to the Presidential debate, “Private Practice” is not going to be airing a new episode on Tuesday night; but in just one week, the show will be roaring back with an episode that not only dives deeper into Addison’s personal struggles, but also takes a look at a rather painful situation in which a young child actually goes missing in the emergency room.
So what’s happening beyond this? With this in mind, we are taking a look at the October 30 episode with the photo to the left. On this installment, we are going to see Sam’s mother Dee (Alfre Woodard, “True Blood”) come to town seeking the man’s help after her employer falls ill. Sam is also going to be taking a look into his own future during this episode, which includes wondering about whether or not reality television is something that he could potentially be interested in down the road.
Sam’s struggle has been a key part of the fabric of “Private Practice” since pretty much the onset, and we do very much hope that it continues with this episode as we start to learn more and more; plus, there is a serious part of us that just admittedly wants to see the guy get a win after Addison chose Jake over him in the season premiere. Plus, it’s not like he now has the opportunity to just run away and never see her again; she is still a part of his everyday life, and that has to be rather painful to deal with.
What do you think about seeing Woodard on the show, and are you as thrilled as we are for what is coming up next?
