Queen of the South season 4 episode 5 video: Teresa wants answers
In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, you see Teresa reprimanding him over some of what transpired at the end of the episode — think in terms of that violent episode that could make Teresa’s cleanup act so much harder than it would otherwise be. Whatever Javier’s rationale could be, she recognizes how important it is to be on the level and steely-eyed in the face of chaos. The more violent incidents happen, the more things come back on her … and the more problems that she finds herself having to deal with.
So what is Javier’s punishment? Teresa is trying to clean up her operation — not only that, but it feels clear that he is out of chances. One more slip-up, and it looks as though he’s going to be sent off from her operation for good. Whether Javier willingly accepts that is a different story … but we feel like he’s going to do whatever he can in order to avoid being in that sort of position in the first place. He’ll try to be a better soldier coming up and follow along the delicate high-wire act that she wants for people in the operation.
Consider now the position Teresa is in. She has an opportunity to try and find a way to run the entire Eastern part of the United States with her operation. Her way of transferring drugs is unique and difficult for anyone to detect. She has a product that is effective and a way to earn generous amounts of money doing it. She’s going to be in demand and she knows it … which is why she’ll be spending a good chunk of Thursday’s episode trying to take some meetings in order to help things get further off the ground. She knows that the product she’s got is valuable, but without the right protection and distribution, the value of the product doesn’t matter. It all metaphorically dissipates into thin air.
