‘Jersey Shore’ season 6: Sammi Giancola looks ahead to hosting
When you are a reality television show that takes the world by storm in a very short amount of time, there is one question that almost inevitably comes as a result: what do you do now? Basically, you’ve already been to the top of the reality TV mountain when it comes to fame, and there is going to be all sorts of emotions that come with that when you do inevitable start to fall back down. Unless you somehow manage to have lightning strike back twice, you are eventually going to have to find something a bit more stable in order to continually make a living for yourself.
So for Sammi Giancola, what does the future hold now that “Jersey Shore” is in its sixth and final season? It appears as though she and Ronnie are getting set to have some sort of actual future together, as the two are even now living at the same place. As for TV, she tells E! News that for the time being, her passion is to find a way to get into hosting:
“I want to get into hosting … I just want to get into branding and things I love to do like the workout, the perfume, the punch line. You never know what the future holds.”
Do we really feel as though Sammi has it in her to be a successful host? Honestly, yes, as she is charismatic, well-spoken, and does have a following behind her already. However, the best way for her to really move forward with this would be to get some sort of formal training in it rather than try and go out and grab the first job out there. Hosting a show (in particular a live one) is a far harder job than most people imagine it to be. For a prime example, just look at the failures of Steve Jones on “The X Factor” … and this was a man who came on the show with prior hosting experience.
Do you think that Sammi (or any of these other “Jersey Shore” stars) could survive with a different career in TV?
