Ink Master season 12 episode 5 preview: Is the women’s team in danger?

As we move into Ink Master season 12 episode 5 next week, the women are going to be tested like never before.

Through the first four episodes, it feels like you have to declare the female artists the champions by a mile. They’ve only lost one artist, and that was due to their own decision to walk away as opposed to them being eliminated by the judges. The men have struggled to keep their team together and that means, moving forward, that they have the odds stacked against them.

One of the things that has helped the women, in addition to their skill, is their ability to come together. While you have the men actively trying at times to get Cam booted from their own team, we’ve also seen the women work together well in the Flash Challenges the past couple of weeks. We can’t tell you how critical this is! If you can determine the sort of artwork you’re going to be doing, that can be a tremendous help — take, for example, not having to do a design on someone’s chin, which isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world.

So who are some of the specific fights on the women’s team involving? It feels like Ash Mann is at the center of the two of them. First, you have her firing back at Janelle; then, you also have her going at it with Alexis. These could just be silly little fights in between challenges, or they could turn into larger problems.

No matter what happens in terms of the drama of the game, good tattooing matters the most. If you can focus in on your task at hand and ignore a lot of the other stuff, you can go really far in this competition. It takes skill, luck, and a lot of determination. You almost need what we’d like to call a perfect cocktail in order to succeed in this show in the long-term. We don’t think that there is one consensus winner favorite just yet; even though people like Fon have shown themselves to be great so far, we haven’t seen enough of him or anyone else to be 100% confident just yet.
