Outlander season 5 video: See Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan on set!
If you look HERE, you can see the two leads encouraging viewers to check out the first four seasons of the show, all available on the Starz App. For the network, it makes some sense to get a little bit of promotion out there — while they’re happy more viewers are seeing the show now via Netflix, we’re sure that they want to make sure the perception still exists that it’s their show. They don’t want people sitting around/waiting for seasons 3 and 4 to launch on Netflix when they could view them right away. For those wondering, we’ve already written about when season 3 could launch over on the streaming service — it’s not gonna be for a while.
For those of you who have already seen the first four seasons — which we imagine is most of you — the video holds some value still. This is an opportunity to check out some new costuming for the season, as Heughan and Balfe are both dressed as Jamie and Claire for the occasion! (This video was likely shot in between takes.) Claire’s purple dress feels like it could become one of many memorable looks this season.
There is plenty of time to either watch the first four seasons of Outlander or engage in a re-watch. As a matter of fact, you could watch the entire series a few times (if you watched an episode a day) from now until the series comes back. The earliest we imagine it is in the first few months of 2020, but it could take a little longer than that. There are a few key tools to surviving Droughtlander — patience, a little bit of whisky, and being a part of one of the most-passionate fan communities in all of television.
