The Bachelorette episode 8 spoilers: Tyler Cameron vs. Luke Parker!

Tyler Cameron

Come Monday’s The Bachelorette episode 8, the latest showdown will be coming between Tyler Cameron and Luke Parker and (via the new sneak peek below) it’s going to show even further how tense things are with some of the guys. The tension’s thick enough that you need a machete to hack through it.

It’s hard to even pin down just one bad thing that Luke has done when really, there have been several. Some of it starts with him throwing guys under the bus to Hannah Brown; meanwhile, he also monopolizes her time on group dates and is an obvious source of most of her stress. There are two different components to the magic “hating Luke” elixir — the fact that he is still there, and the idea that Hannah must really like him for that to be the case. The confusion over that is causing some of the guys to go off the deep end.

For most of the season, Tyler’s been at the top of everyone’s favorite contestant list. He’s kind, considerate, and he also has a good sense of humor. For him to be set off shows that Luke must be getting under his skin in a whole new way. He goes so far as to call him a “villain” in the sneak peek, which Luke takes exception to right away … even though almost everyone in the house hates him and has since earlier this season. This is an explosive episode for Luke, one that will culminate in him getting into a shouting match with Garrett — you’ve seen that in previews for this season aplenty.

If there is one thing we’d say is a strike against Tyler (yes, we’re being critical of Tyler for a sentence or two here), it’s that he really doesn’t have to bring Luke’s height into it. It’s very well possible that Luke has some sort of Napoleon complex but still, he probably does feel insecure already that he’s a short guy compared to a lot of the other guys who are well over six feet tall. Connor is 6’6”! That’s basically a starting guard on an NBA team. Tyler could’ve just let that be and then went in on some other things — take, for example, almost everything that has come out of Luke’s mouth. If he had focused on just that, nobody would’ve had any issue with it.

Are you ready to see Luke jettisoned off of The Bachelor stage as soon as humanly possible? Do you want Tyler Cameron to help do it? Be sure to share in the comments and come back soon for more news. (Photo: ABC.)
