Manifest season 2: Is Ginnifer Goodwin open to appearing?
Speaking via TVLine, the former Once Upon a Time actress (who is married to series star Josh Dallas) made it clear that she’s game, saying “I would love to. All they have to do is ask! … There were a lot of people on that plane.” You gotta think that Manifest would be just as interested in getting Ginnifer on board the show, provided the role is right and it allowed her to deliver some fantastic creative swings. We know that Goodwin’s a busy performer with a gig over on CBS All Access, so it could function as a recurring gig for her whenever she has time.
At least knowing that Ginnifer is open is enough to get us excited in what’s going to be a long hiatus between season 1 and season 2.

What we can assume…
Season 2 is going to have to address in the early going what happened at the end of the finale with the shooting — and maybe with that, we’ll have a better sense as to what the ticking clock of death means. Is there a way to change fate and however much time you have left? That cliffhanger could give you the answer. Someone was shot, but that doesn’t mean that they die. Think about how many shooting cliffhangers like this end in a character death — we don’t have a percentage in front of us, but it’s gotta be low, right?
No matter what happens with the cliffhanger, relationships will remain the emotional core of the story. So much invested is dictated by the characters you feel for and want to root for, and it’s hard to imagine that changing. It shouldn’t change; Ben’s family, for example, is a driving force for him. It’s what makes him want to do whatever he can with the time that he has. For Michaela, it’s everyone from Jared to Ben to herself. Manifest is a show about mystery, but it’s also about family and fighting for a way to have a future. You can’t lose sight on any of those things.
