‘Downton Abbey’ season 3 spoilers: First video of episode 6

Warning: If you have not watched Sunday night’s new episode of “Downton Abbey” just yet, we have to present a warning: you’re going to feel very spoiled and sad if you continue to read this article now.

Times have been tough at the Abbey as of late, and the honest admission here at this point is that this is hardly the sort of thing that we have seen for a short amount of time now. Beginning with the news about the difficult financial state of things for Robert and Cora, times were tough, and they only become tougher when we saw Sir Anthony leave Edith at the altar. Ultimately, it’s probably fair to say that the drama arrived at a fever pitch courtesy of the startling and horrific death of Lady Sybil during Sunday night’s new episode that still has us shaken to the core. This was something that no one could expect, and it is difficult to know just how to deal with it.

For Tom, the one thing that he really can do at the moment is try to move forward. Unfortunately, there is already going to be a debate as to whether or not christen his daughter as a Catholic, which is something that he wants given that he is the father and it traces back to his Irish roots. While all of this is happening, tension between Robert and Cora will continue to grow as the two deal with the aftermath of what happened with Sybil’s death; meanwhile, Anna warns Bates that at the moment, the best thing he can do is try to stay out of trouble in order to earn his release from prison. Sadly, this may not be as easy as it sounds considering the sort of company he is forced to keep behind bars.

Are you still reeling from what happened with Sybil, and how much of an impact do you think that her death will really have?
