Jane the Virgin season 5 episode 13 preview: Jane, Rafael’s newest problem
Jane the Virgin season 5 episode 13 is coming next week and through that, you’re going to see a little bit of peace and cooperation … at least at first. A lot of it could fall apart sooner rather than later. It’s all about because that’s the way of the world! Jane and Rafael are going to do their best in order to take on parenting but then stumble into another problem. One step forward and three steps back, and that’s without even talking about what’s going on with these two characters and Petra. If we had to wager now, that’s where a lot of the humor is going to come in this episode.
For some other news, check out the official Jane the Virgin season 5 episode 13 synopsis below:
A MUST LIST – With Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) finally in a good place, they are concerned to discover Mateo’s treatment might be a problem. Alba (Ivonne Coll) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) are worried about Xo’s (Andrea Navedo) recent behavior. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) is secretly pleased when Rafael and Jane begin fighting over her. Fernando Sariñana directed the episode written by Valentina L. Garza & Deidre Shaw (#513). Original airdate 6/19/2019.
The Xo storyline will probably be one of the most emotional of the hour, but we say that as someone in the “fully concerned over Xo” camp. We’ve been there for a while now and we have a feeling that there is going to be some unexpected drama creeping up here in some rather shocking places.
How are the ratings?
Usually with a final season, this is not the sort of thing that would actually matter. It’s a little bit of a different situation with Jane the Virgin. We’ve already learned that there was an attempted spin-off in Jane the Novela, and there’s a good chance that there could be another one at some point in the future. Because of this, the numbers need to be strong.
Here’s the good news — through season 5 so far, the numbers are almost even with the year before. Think in terms of a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and over 600,000 live viewers. That’s nothing to sneeze at for a CW show that is airing in the summer.
As for whether or not there will be another spin-off idea, we do think that there could be something over the next year or so — that’s really the only timeline that makes sense when it comes to this show since the longer you go, the harder it becomes to get another idea on the air. Viewers have to remember you, and they have to still be invested!
