When Calls the Heart season 7: Hallmark releases new announcement promo

If you have been following the news closely, you probably realize already that When Calls the Heart season 7 is officially coming to TV. Hallmark Channel officially renewed the show a little bit earlier this year, off of the strength of some of the good ratings they were seeing and then also, of course, an extremely passionate following. The Hearties are clearly one of the most consistent and devoted audiences out there, and they’ve stuck to the show this spring despite a pretty significant and last-minute hiatus right in the middle of it.

Regardless of if you knew the renewal news or not before this week, Hallmark has released the new announcement promo that mostly serves as a reminder of one thing — you are going to be seeing a season 7 at some point in the future. There’s no premiere date yet, and of course, it’s way too early to start speculating on that particular subject. We’ll probably get more news on that when we get a little bit closer to the end of the year.

As for the new promo that was released today, there’s not exactly a lot of new information in here. It’s a little bit more of a When Calls the Heart highlight reel. As for the reason why, but it mostly just the function of the fact that filming has not even begun for When Calls the Heart season 7 just yet. The writers still have a lot of work to do when it comes to piecing together various storylines. Hallmark is going to take their time putting the show together, and maybe they’ll release a new promo when we get close to the end of the fall with new footage. There’s no real hurry until then.

So what will one of the big stories be on When Calls the Heart season 7? It feels like a lot of it is going to be tied to the story at the end of season 6, where Elizabeth found herself at the center of a choice. She could go with either Lucas or Nathan, and we think the end result of that is still very much up in the air. We also still think it’s more than possible that she’ll say no to both of them in the end and walk away. Her top priority is going to be baby Jack, as it really should be. We think this is a romantic show and Elizabeth will find someone new eventually, patience is a virtue with a show like this. You want to make sure that it’s right, and you’re not just forcing a romance on anyone. Also, you don’t want to make any fans pounding the table in frustration because they don’t like who you’ve paired someone up with.
