NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Hear Cee Lo Green’s soulful ‘Run Rudolph Run’

Who knew that Cee Lo Green had such a soul for Christmas music? When we first heard that the quirky coach from “The Voice,” whose biggest hit of his music career is a song that we cannot even repeat the name of here, was putting out a Christmas album this year, we were skeptical. However, we are starting to think that “Cee Lo’s Magic Moment” may actually be the must-have purchase of the holiday season when it hits stores on October 30. (There’s also a duet with Christina Aguilera on it!)

In the video below, you can hear Green’s rendition of the hit “Run Rudolph Run” that is so smooth, so funky, and really just so much fun. We don’t know how this song could really be any better, to be honest, except for it being the holiday season now when we would inevitably enjoy it even more. It’s hard to really get that excited about holiday tracks when they are hitting store shelves two months early, but we have a feeling that this is the sort of disc that will continue to sell albums straight up to December. After all, Green will have even more opportunities to promote it courtesy of his own show on NBC. There is no confirmed date as to when he will perform the song, but we have a feeling that it will indeed happen by the time the live shows are wrapped up and the gang heads home for the holidays.
