The Blacklist season 6 episode 22 (finale) spoilers: The Robert Diaz battle

Next week on The Blacklist season 6 episode 22, we’re going to arrive at “Robert Diaz,” and with that, the end of the season. It’s a showdown with the Task Force and the President of the United States, and there could also be a few other mysteries and secrets that surface. Basically, this is going to be one of the most critical episodes to date. Not only are we going to have a chance to see a battle with a very powerful foe, but there could be more information on the mystery of Raymond Reddington himself.

Is Reddington really Ilya Koslov, as introduced in the episode “Rassvet”? That’s at least an idea that we have to consider at the moment, but we don’t really buy into it personally. It feels too convenient to have the character be someone we first met a little bit earlier this season, rather than someone deeply entrenched in the entirety of the series. There could be clues within the finale, even if there isn’t any full-on answers.

05/17/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : SEASON FINALE. As the president’s (guest star Benito Martinez) true plan comes into focus, Liz (Megan Boone) and the Task Force fight to avert disaster. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) meets in secret with a man who holds information about his past. Jennifer Ferrin, Deirdre Lovejoy and Coy Stewart guest star. TV-14

By the end of this finale, we’re hoping that there’s going to be an opportunity for some closure on the conspiracy story — The Blacklist can leave everything else out in the open if it chooses. We do still have a season 7 and because of that, we’re excited for whatever the future is going to hold — more thoughts, more theories, and more opportunities for great discussion. We’re prepared for some sort of cliffhanger, and one that we can spend a whole summer thinking about. The more that we dive into The Blacklist, the more we think in turn that the theorizing is a big part of what makes it so fun.
