SWAT season 2 episode 23 (finale) spoilers: ‘Kangaroo’ chaos

Next week, SWAT season 2 episode 23 is going to air on CBS and it’s fair to say that this will be a huge hour. “Kangaroo” is the episode finale, an installment that is going to set the stage for one of the SWAT team’s most difficult challenges to date. Beyond just that, it’s also going to be an episode that puts a number of lives on the line, and Street is going to get a little bit of information about the whereabouts of his mother. There’s a lot going on here, and a lot that needs to happen before we get to the end of the episode … and into what’s sure to be a long hiatus.

“Kangaroo” – The SWAT team goes in pursuit again of the militant group The Emancipators, when the criminals hold a live stream kangaroo court to publicly execute city politicians. Also, Hondo fights to lift Darryl’s spirits; Deacon feels unworthy as he prepares to receive one of the LAPD’s highest honors; and Street catches a break in the search for his missing parolee mother, on the second season finale of S.W.A.T., Thursday, May 16 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Sherilyn Fenn returns as Karen Street, Jim Street’s mother.

This episode does have a lot of danger to it — it’s hard for there not to be when you’re thinking a dangerous group like the Emancipators — but there is also something else worth looking at in family. The SWAT finale is likely going to be one about family, and we anticipate that some of those stories are going to course their way through this episode from start to finish. Whether it be with Street’s mother or Darryl, SWAT wants you to get teary-eyed at various points. For Deacon, we’re going to see a chance at victory — yet, he isn’t going to know for sure hot exactly to handle that.

As for whether or not there will be a cliffhanger, we feel pretty inclined to say that this is something that is going to happen. This is the sort of show that loves to leave you hanging at the edge of your seat … and also wondering, in turn, what could be coming around the corner in the future. The best thing that you can probably expect entering this finale is everything.
