Station 19 season 2 episode 16 preview: ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’

Station 19

Station 19 season 2 episode 16 is going to be carrying with it the title of “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” and there’s danger afoot here really in just about every direction. There’s no way to know if there’s going to be peace, especially after what we ended up seeing tonight. The story of Lucas Ripley is going to be a powerful one, and we don’t think that it’s one that is going to be forgotten about anytime soon. That’s especially true when it comes to Vic, who has to pick up the pieces of her life to figure out what’s next.

Obviously, the situation with Lucas was going to have a big impact on Vic no matter what transpired tonight. Because of the life-or-death crisis tonight, everyone knows about the relationship. She’s gone from someone trying to keep a secret to someone who is struggling in sadness. She’ll be mourning Chief Ripley moving forward on the show, but probably doing it in the best way that she can — trying to understand the cosmic nature of death and working to remember him.

Below, CarterMatt offers us the official Station 19 season 2 episode 16 synopsis — just in case you do want some other insight when it comes to what lies ahead:

Following a life-threatening situation that left the future of a member of Station 19 unclear, the crew gathers to face the outcome. Andy and Ben respond to a man impaled by a chandelier. Meanwhile, Station 19 is called upon to organize shipments of supplies and assist with wildfires in Los Angeles.

Obviously, there’s not going to be a whole lot of time in order to properly mourn the fallen here, and the team will find themselves called off to another state in order to help with wildfires. This is a storyline that is actually going to be a part of the finale, as well — it’s not something set to just tie together next week. Because of the dangerous and active nature of these sort of blazes, we have to prepare already for the possibility that a major character could die out there. Unfortunately, Lucas Ripley may not be alone in going in the ground this season … or at least that is what the producers of this show would probably want us to believe at the moment. This is a crazy, hyper-intense show, and one that doesn’t shy away from the dangerous nature of what it is that these people do.
