Big Brother Canada 7: Was Mark Drelich or Dane Rupert evicted?

MarkTonight, the latest Big Brother Canada 7 eviction show brought an interesting decision for the remaining players. What do you want to do — go to the end of the game with a significant threat to win competitions, or someone who’s not going to help you win competitions and get you further in the game? It’s an interesting thing to think about, and it’s certainly something that we enjoyed watching play out on the live feeds.

Entering tonight’s show, we already knew from the feeds that Mark was in a considerable amount of danger, and the reality of the situation was starting to cave in on him — pending a last-minute miracle, these people were going to send him out even if it was not the original plan to do. That’s how this game works sometimes, and we really do gotta blame Mark in a lot of ways for his decision to A) not campaign for his life and B) not really make good social bonds for most of the season. It was easier to get him out since there was no real justification anyone had to keep him.

We saw on the show tonight a big story of how we came about to the decision being made to evict Mark instead of Dane, and how much of it was Anthony trying to snow over people and control everything. (We love that Anthony calls it a “betrayal” that Mark would rather vote for Adam instead of him, when really, Adam is also being a part of the Pretty Boys, as well.) We got a conversation tonight from not long before the eviction show, and even at that point, Anthony was still trying to make Mark believe that it was Kyra who wanted to evict him and that he didn’t have anything to do with it. Hilarious.

In the end, though, Mark didn’t have a shot and he was sent out the door — but not before he dropped some knowledge on Adam that Dane wanted Cory to get rid of Sam during her Head of Household reign. We don’t actually think that will come as a shock to Adam, but it at least made for some good theater. We do think that Anthony played the goodbye message right, though, fully owning up to his vote as it was his decision. It already seems like Mark isn’t going to hold that against him.
