Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale spoilers: ‘Jump Into the Fog’ details!

The Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale, entitled “Jump Into the Fog,” is going to air on ABC come Thursday, May 16. What can you expect to see over the course of it? Think of it as an opportunity to see yet another unusual crisis hit Seattle, but also a chance to see some of these characters recovering from some low points in their lives. Will this be where Jo gets on the other side of her personal crisis, or when some relationships start to get solidified?

In true network fashion, the folks over at ABC aren’t being entirely kind on handing down details for some of what’s coming up. We don’t have specific plot points for every character, but we do at least have an official Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale synopsis, which you can see below:

As fog begins to cover Seattle, the doctors of Grey Sloan navigate through personal complications. Meredith and Alex attempt to save Gus, while Levi talks some sense into a struggling Nico.

The Levi/Nico storyline still feels like something that’s in somewhat early stages at the moment, based on some of the information that we’ve got. What we know entering this particular episode coming up is that Nico has tried to push aside a lot of his pain just for the sake of getting a potential new job. We’re not sure that this is the best idea in the world since, eventually, some of that pain is going to rise to the forefront. It’s possible that Nico doesn’t get that job, and then beyond that, he has worked in order to push the person he loves the most away.

As for Meredith, we do appreciate in a way that the finale seems to be focusing on her through the lens of medicine. We’ve enjoyed the DeLuca storyline as much as the next person, but in the process of showcasing that relationship, we don’t want to lose anything of what made the two characters great on their own. It is still a medical show and individual patients matter — especially if they’ve got something unusual going on that allows for the writers to showcase something that is different than anything that we have ever seen before.

Will there be a cliffhanger?

We have to at least think that it’s a slight possibility, given the legacy of Grey’s Anatomy finales over the years. Yet, we gotta say that a fog does not seem to be anywhere near as intimidating as a plane crash, a shooter, or a massive storm that sends the hospital into chaos. We’ve seen crazier.
