Derek Sandy – Apparently, this show’s new goal is to just find a Donchez guy every season — Derek may as well be the official tourism spokesperson for the Isle of Wight after this. This wasn’t as good as “Wiggle Wine,” but there was at least a catchy beat behind it and we at least like how enthusiastic he was about it. Everyone should be as enthusiastic about their hometown as he was here!
Matt Stirling – Apparently, he is a magician/hypnotist — not someone who is going to break you over a table. Doesn’t he look like a professional wrestler? He’s actually really good and, beyond that, he really used the entire auditorium to create a fantastic series of stunts to go along with some of the magic. Alesha really said it best — he was confident without being cocky.
Dave & Finn – This was really quite lovely; apparently, Finn the dog possesses some sort of magical ability. He can read what’s on a sheet of paper and communicate it back to the owner. Given how emotional a story this was, we were worried that this was going to be the entire act. Luckily, it was not. While we’re not entirely sure that Finn was necessary for some of the specific tricks that Dave did (we’ve seen variations before), we love the dog. It’s an emotional act and that’s why people love it.
Ethan Higgins – We’ve seen kid dancers before on this show, but we’re not sure that we’ve seen one that did almost the evolution of dance within the span of a few short minutes. This was incredible in terms of how much content he put in here, though we’re also not sure what he would us if he advances other than something similar.
Rollabatics – Obviously, they’re going to be compared to Billy & Emily England given what they do, but they made a little bit more use of the overall stage. Their stunts were certainly scary and precise, and we like that they still tried to make a rollerblading routine lyrical and beautiful. The trust that was here through this was certainly on another level … and it really has to be for them to do something like this.
Cheesy act montage – Here is where we acknowledge the woman with the David Walliams song, the awkward Frozen duet with the tap-dancing, and the dude with all of the musical instruments. What in the world was all of this? We’ll at least admit that we laughed when the reindeer struggled to keep up with the tap-dancing in the Frozen performance.
Giorgia Borg – The Golden Buzzer recipient tonight! To read more about her, head over to the link here now.
