NCIS: New Orleans season 5 finale spoilers: Pride’s in serious danger…
Let’s start off here by setting the stage for what you’re going to see here — Pride is going to be halfway around the world, doing whatever he can to stop Apollyon in their tracks. This group has been wrecking all sorts of havoc on his life, killing his father and causing him to spend time tracking them down that he could’ve been using otherwise to solve crimes. We’re hoping that at least some resolution can come with this story in season 5, mostly because A) we’d like for Pride to have some sort of closure and B) Apollyon is the sort of threat that’s almost too ambiguous for its own good, unless there is someone involved who makes it a little more personal. (We know that Pride’s mother will be appearing in the finale — whether or not she’s tied to Apollyon is TBD, but it’s still worth scratching your chin over in thought.)
For some more information so to what’s coming, CarterMatt has the official NCIS: New Orleans season 5 finale synopsis with other insight:
“The River Styx, Part II” – After tracking Apollyon, a deadly underground spy network, to war-torn South Ossetia, Pride is separated from the team and faces grave danger. Also, in order to save Pride, the NCIS team must locate a mole who continues to feed information to Apollyon, on the fifth season finale of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, May 14 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

It’s certainly possible that this mole is someone reasonably close by, which could add a little bit more intrigue to the entire story. After all, wouldn’t this mole be someone who could’ve aided in understanding where Pride was and how to rattle him? This feels like one of those wicked, James Bond-esque organizations that has its tentacles everywhere. Or, it’s basically the Hydra of the NCIS universe to throw a Marvel analogy at you in the midst of Avengers: Endgame premiering this weekend.
