NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21 review: Gregorio goes ‘rogue’
Tammy took this case personally. She was convinced 100% that this guy was responsible for killing a Navy doctor via a hit-and-run, and because of that, she took it upon herself in order to find the clues, push for answers, and at times break protocol. That included doing what she could at the hospital to seek out Candice, the woman who was in so much peril and was being framed for something she did not commit. She was stuck on a psychiatric hold at the hospital as a result of being drugged, as a man who claimed to love her was really only out to try and screw her over. He wanted to hurt rather than help her and she was forced to deal with the terrible consequences of it.

Given that this was an NCIS: New Orleans case, we don’t think your jaw is going to be on the ground to learn that some things did not go accordingly to plan during this episode. Gregorio was captured by the guy in the hospital and because of that, she was in a position where was seemingly cornered. Yet, Tammy proved herself to have a way out! While her phone got smashed, he didn’t bother to check her earring for a bug. She was able to record the guy confessing and because of that, she got what she wanted when the dust settled.
With all of this in mind, Candice had a chance to breathe a little easier. She ended this episode okay and in one piece, and getting an opportunity to be around people who care about her once more. Meanwhile, Tammy gets to walk away from the case a hero.
What was going on with Apollyon?
Tonight, we saw Hannah’s own husband Ryan come to Pride with some valuable insight — but news that he didn’t want to clue her in on. Pride ended up opting to tell her, and that led to some awkward conversations all around. At the end of the episode, all three of them convened to talk a little bit more about what they had. As it turned out, Ryan had the information that could prove essential on finding Apollyon and stopping them, once and for all … or at least that’s what it seems.
CarterMatt Verdict
We’re always happy to have a Tammy-centric story and this one fit the bill — she was sassy, aggressive, and also got the job done. She stood up for what was right, and we especially appreciated her “selling the plan” at one point, daring Pride to fire him over the phone for going rogue when he does it all the time. (Truth.)
