The Cool Kids episode 21 return date, season 2 renewal odds
Let’s go ahead now and get the bad news out of the way: There is no new episode of The Cool Kids next week. While the series hasn’t been on the same exact schedule as Last Man Standing for the entirety of the season, we’re back in a position now where the two shows are in lockstep. That’s the best thing for both shows to build a lineup and finish the show strong — which creatively, both are hoping to be doing. For the sake of The Cool Kids, they are going to be doing with a story of Hank’s son getting married in Las Vegas. This sounds like fun, and it most likely will be — but there’s also going to be a lot of chaos every step of the way because of course there is. That’s just woven into the fabric of this show and a number of big events.

Hank is excited to give his son the perfect wedding gift in Las Vegas, until he finds out Lorraine’s boyfriend, Reggie, is paying for everything. Meanwhile, Margaret and Sid’s luck at the blackjack table quickly takes a turn, and Charlie hopes his old Vegas connections will come through for him in the all-new “Vegas Baby!” episode of THE COOL KIDS airing Friday, May 3 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. What are the chances for a season 2 renewal?
While we know that the numbers for this show have slipped over the past several weeks, but this is a series still to be confident about. The best thing that The Cool Kids can really hope for is that it gets that season 2 renewal and then from there, both it and Last Man Standing are moved from their current Friday-night spot over to Tuesdays. From there, they may not suffer as much ratings downturn as they are on Fridays in the spring, when you run more into people who want to go out and do some other things.
We do remain optimistic for more of The Cool Kids and hopefully, over the next few weeks, news on a renewal will come out. Typically, this sort of information is made clear by the time you get around to mid-May.
