‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3: More on the new ‘Pretty Dirty Secrets’ character

If you are a pretty avid fan of “Pretty Little Liars,” then we are willing to bet that you have been watching with great regularity some of the new “Pretty Dirty Secrets” installments that have been coming out with a fairly good amount of regularity over the past several weeks. This web series has not necessarily given us any major shockers into the world of Rosewood, but it has enabled us to get a welcome new perspective into the world of Rosewood, how some of these characters operate, and what could be happening on the show beginning with the Halloween special airing on October 23.

So what was one of the elements of making this show that excited everyone on board? Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, web series mastermind Kim Turrisi (who was recruited especially by Marlene King to help make sure that the story worked well for an internet format) said that it was excited to get more insight into the lives of some of the recurring players on the show who often are not in the spotlight. In addition, she also loved the creation of a new mysterious woman in Shana played by Aeriel Miranda:

“We loved the exploration of the Jason-Cece relationship and layering in the Lucas-Garrett-Noel dynamic, but we needed a person that was there that could be another [pivot point] … We thought it would be fun to test out something new and when we met Aeriel, we thought, ‘This is someone who could be dropped right into Rosewood’ and not know exactly what she’s all about.”

Turrisi also commented that there were certain points that “Pretty Little Liars” producers helped them to ensure they would hit, largely so that this story could reward viewers who watch new episodes of the show even more.
