Is The Big Bang Theory new tonight on CBS? On Raj … and aliens?
Is The Big Bang Theory new tonight on CBS? We’re so close to the end of the laughter and the hijinks for these characters, and because of that, we do wish that there was a way to stretch out this series for as long as we possibly could. We wish that there was a way to make sure that we got more stories, more episodes, and opportunities to see these people rise to the top of the science world and stay there.
The thing is that we are going to be seeing the remaining episodes of the show stretched out, but not necessarily in the way in which we’d want. There is no new episode of the show at all tonight; instead, episode 19 of the final season will come your way in a week. That’s an episode that will feature another appearance from the incomparable Regina King, and following that, there are only five more. That includes the upcoming April 25 episode entitled “The Decision Reverberation,” one we’ve got some new details on right now! This is one of the big Raj episodes you’ve been hoping for near the end of the show’s run, as it’s going to showcase how he may be able to make the next big leap forward in his career … albeit in a risky way. It’s about him making a big revelation that may leave other skeptical. How so? The attached synopsis indicates that:
“The Decision Reverberation” – Koothrappali is worried people won’t take him seriously in his own field after publishing a paper that suggests he may have discovered alien life. Also, Leonard wants to be the principal investigator on a plasma physics study, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, April 25 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Here’s the thing about aliens, or at least the thing about our interpretation of aliens. We know there are millions of people out there who believe that they exist, but for whatever reason, nobody wants to believe it when some of them are discovered. Why is that? Maybe it is a fear of the unknown or a fear that they could be so close as to actually impact our lives. There’s also a sense of constancy that comes within all of our lives as humans where we like things to be one way and we definitely don’t like the idea of them somehow turning out different. We don’t know how to understand aliens, and with that, it’s better to make them real within our minds but abstract in physical form. This is what Raj has to counter, that and probably some people out to make real, scientific counter-arguments to whatever it is that he finds.
What do you want to see on The Big Bang Theory when the series returns, and what do you think about this idea for a Raj-centric story? Be sure to share right now in the attached comments.
