STAR season 3 episode 15 preview: Miss Christine, Bobby, & more
Want to know some early details in regards to STAR season 3 episode 15? In kicking things off here, we think that we can really just utter one word: Family. This is an episode meant to be about family. You’ve got a number of people from the past resurfacing, and from a guest-starring perspective that’s great! name one person out there who is going to be upset over the thought of getting more of Patti LaBelle or Harold Perrineau on this show. Given the fact that Perrineau has another TV gig out there in Claws, we categorize most of his appearances under “we’re just happy to get him whenever we can.”
Beyond all of this, we’re also still going to get music! This is a show that doesn’t want to shake up the foundation of what it is TOO much.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official STAR season 3 episode 15 synopsis, which offers up a little more scoop on what’s coming up next:
Simone and Alex prepare to compete against newcomer Amber (guest star Erika Tham) for their ASA performance. Noah’s father, Bobby (guest star Harold Perrineau), returns to help Noah with his sobriety and fatherhood. Meanwhile, Miss Christine (guest star Patti LaBelle), Cousin Duke (guest star Glenn MaGee) and Cousin Rashad (guest star Major) come to town, much to the chagrin of Carlotta and Cassie. Then, Leon (guest star Kia Shine) makes Cotton an offer in the all-new “Lean On Me” episode of STAR airing Wednesday, April 17 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LDS-315) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)
This is an episode with a lot going on, which shouldn’t come as too great of a surprise when you consider where we are in the season … and also the sheer amount of time before things have to reach a certain point in the finale. We don’t want to say that we’ve made it to a high point when it comes to drama on this show, but we’re certainly at a point where there is chaos around just about every turn and we have to prepare ourselves for more leading into the finale.
There are four episodes left and within those, we certainly wouldn’t be shocked if there are more near-death experiences, talk of characters leaving the show, big betrayals, and hopefully also some more movement within the music world. While we do think that there is value in the underdog story, there is also about seeing characters work their way to the top that is absolutely enjoyable … especially when it comes around to the point where you actually see what happens when they get there. It’s the sort of thing that makes your hair stand on end with anticipation. That’s where we want to see the show head for an inevitable season 4.
