Thursday night’s new episode of “Sons of Anarchy” is inching closer to airing, and even though we don’t know too much more about “Orca Shrugged” (outside of the fact that we are completely in love with its name), we do have at least a few more images that prove that following the rather awkward funeral for Opie (which featured everything from a fight between Tara, Gemma, and Dora to Jax and Nero setting up their new business), SAMCRO is going to really waste no time at all getting back to what they do best: trying to own the streets of Charming and get down to business. (Be sure to watch the promo here.)
Expect to see the beginnings of Jax’s new operation with Nero this week, as the motorcycle club will vote to find themselves working within the brothel business. (Anything to pull in money, right?) We’re also sure that we will see plenty of ramifications from both Gemma and Tara concerning what they did, and Damon Pope is still going to be looming over everything. How do you get rid of a man that is in many ways untouchable? We have compared Pope to Gus Fring from “Breaking Bad” in the past, and the comparison here now seems more valid than ever. This is not going to be a man that you can take down in one episode; it is going to take time and a rigorous amount of planning, and we’ll be lucky to see him fall by the end of this season.
Production on the season finale for the series is set to begin on Monday, which means that by the time the next couple of episodes will air, just about everything will be in post-production and the cast and crew will all know how this story ties up.
Just in case you haven’t heard about the recent on-set “drama” regarding Kurt Sutter, you can do so over at the link here.
