For this season of “Community,” we are going to see at least one of the cast members do more than just step in front of the camera as an actor; they will also be making an appearance behind the scenes in order to show off some of their talents. How good are they? Let’s just say that they have an Oscar to their name already.
According to a new report from Vulture, Jim Rash, otherwise known as the great Dean Pelton, is currently working on writing an episode of the show alongside some members of the staff. Supposedly, the story here is going to primarily revolve around some sort of alumni weekend that is going to be held at the school. Outside of Luis Guzman, who else went to this school; and even more so, who would want to even acknowledge it by attending an event? That is something that we are about to find out.
The October 19 premiere of “Community” is now just two weeks away, and there still is an outside chance that the show could be picked up for a season 5 thanks largely in part to the failures of “Up All Night,” “30 Rock” ending, and “Animal Practice” and “Guys with Kids” floundering. The problem is that Friday nights are going to be very hard for the show to succeed, especially when there are still some casual fans out there probably thinking that it has been canceled for whatever reason.
Are you thrilled to see the Dean working behind the scenes on an episode, and have you heard yet about what the show is planning to do for Halloween this year? If not (or if you just want to get a lovely reminder, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
