911 season 2 episode 13 preview: The search for Maddie
We understand fully why this character would be MIA. Think about what she’s went through as of late! With her abusive ex managing to track her down she’s obviously doing whatever she can to ensure her safety, but she may not actually be doing it in a way that is helpful for the sake of her future. Her friends in Los Angeles are going to do what they can to help her and the #1 thing that they can do is make sure that she feels safe, secure, and protected. If she goes somewhere else, they know that there is less that they can do to look after her … especially if they don’t know where she is. She may be able to find another group of friends, but they may not be able to care or fight for her in the same way. These people are first responders, people who will do whatever they can to fight for her. They’ve experienced so much already so they know how to handle moments of crisis. It’s just a little bit more elevated than usual.

We’re obviously in the middle of an important stretch of episodes right now on 911, otherwise known as “the ones where a lot of the major characters are in danger.” We’re certainly intrigued to learn what’s going to happen when the fates of some of these characters are solidified and the story becomes more about other conflicts, ones that may not take them either to death’s door or going away from Los Angeles.
Basically, what we’re hoping to see is a situation here where Maddie’s ex is gone for good. We don’t think that we are really breaking any news here when we say that he’s one of the most unlikable characters imaginable. Just think about what he’s done for Maddie for quite some time, and then lump the incident with Chimney on top of all of that. Just remember that in between everything that you’re going to see with the search for Maddie, you’re also going to probably see some of the same standard emergencies that you see every single week. There’s almost a tinge of irony to how we say “standard emergencies,” mostly due to the fact that they are so crazy and heart-pounding. Clearly, the idea here is to find a way to make each one more shocking and intense than the ones we’ve seen already.
