What’s better than one hour of The Blacklist? Really, 22 hours of The Blacklist — a whole season! Alas, you’re not going to get all of that over the course of a single night … but next, you are at least going to get two hours! The thirteenth and fourteenth episodes of season 6 are both coming onto NBC next week and through those, you’re going to have a chance to see some new guest stars, exciting cases, and hopefully opportunities to see this arc take some new twists and turns. If tonight does mark the end of the execution storyline, we could be heading in a new direction for the final ten this season. What that means potentially is a new foundation being set and some new twists being delivered. We think of these episodes, on the surface, almost as a parallel to what we saw at the start of the season. Those first two episodes were not just excellent television, but they were a propeller into all of the craziness that we’ve seen ever since.

For some more specific insight now on what’s coming, we highly suggest that you check out the synopses for these two episodes below!
Season 6 episode 13, “Robert Vesco” – 03/29/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : Red (James Spader) and the Task Force hunt for legendary fugitive Robert Vesco (guest star Stacy Keach), one of history’s most notorious conmen. Meanwhile, Samar (Mozhan Marno) makes a life changing decision. Teddy Coluca, Oded Fehr, Clark Middleton and Aida Turturro also guest star. TV-14 V
This episode’s top selling point may very well be what happens with Samar, who has been struggling with aphasia for the better part of this season. We can’t fully imagine the pain she must feel to be this accomplished fantastic agent and yet be constantly suffering to find and retain some of the same skills that she once had.
Season 6 episode 14, “The Osterman Umbrella Company” – 03/29/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : Red (James Spader) directs Liz (Megan Boone) to investigate a secret organization of assassins hired by global intelligence agencies to eliminate former agents, a case with ramifications that will change the Task Force forever. Teddy Coluca, Oded Fehr and Danny Burstein guest star. TV-14 V
Yep, we’re getting more stuff that could change the Task Force forever! We want to be more excited about this, but we’re living mostly in a world at this point where we’ve sat through a lot of stuff that could change the task force forever and we feel like, by and large, it’s still functioning in a similar way to how it has. It will be tough for any change to supplant what we’ve been through with Reddington throughout this season, but we certainly throw down the gauntlet for these writers to surprise us! They’ve done a good job doing that with some of the twists that we’ve seen so far this season.
