Last Man Standing season 7 episode 18 changes things up
As we reported last week, the amusing church-themed episode entitled “The Passion of Paul” was originally set to come on Fox this Friday — we thought that this was a wise choice for an episode, mostly because so few shows really take on the ins and outs of attending contemporary church on a regular basis. It’s a way of life for so many people and there are so many glorious ways to do this without also being sacrilegious. If the tone is right, we absolutely think that church-goers can have a laugh at themselves!

Alas, for some unknown reason Fox has decided to pull a bit of a schedule-swap here. Gone is “The Passion of Paul” for now, and in its place is “Otherwise Engaged.” This is an episode that was originally going to air on Fox March 22, but they’ve since moved it up to this time. Fox may have its reasons for moving “The Passion of Paul” (we’re sure they’ll air it later this season), but there’s a lot to like about this one as well. For starters, Susan Sullivan is back! We’re partial to her from her work on Castle, and she’s done a great job through what we’ve seen from here as Vanessa’s mother. She’s hilarious on her own, but then also rope in a relationship with Ed. That’s as combustible a situation for Mike Baxter as you’re going to see. Hence, his decision to inject himself so much more than he really needs to.

Meanwhile, Mandy and Kyle eavesdrop on Kristin and Ryan through their new home security system in the all-new “Otherwise Engaged” episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, March 15 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LMS-719) (TV-PG D, L)
For those who love family drama of the funniest kind, this episode of Last Man Standing should bring it. For one, Mike Baxter causing problems! Also, Mandy and Kyle having a little bit too much fun for their own good. Who thinks that spying on Mandy and Kyle is going to come back and haunt them? Go ahead and raise your hand on that…
