Station 19 season 2 episode 9 spoilers: Prepare for ‘I Fought the Law’
Before we even dive head-first into the specifics of this episode, why not check out the promo that we have for you below? This is more of a “take a look at the rest of the season” video than it is for a single episode, and that gives you everything from hookups to sweet Station 19 speeches to dangerous situations — including a bus crisis where everyone on board is going to have to adopt the attitude of the first responder. These people need to be heroes, and they also need to be leaders. They need to find a way in order to inspire the men and women of Seattle to be their best — maybe in the moment when danger strikes, but ideally at all times. It’d probably keep Andy, Jack, and everyone else from having to be called in all of the time!
Then, there’s also the saga of Ryan and dear ‘ol dad in this promo, which looks like it’s taking a turn for the worst. We know that this guy is a con artist, a swindler, and really someone who threw his moral compass in the Pacific Ocean many years ago. It’s one thing for him to shrug off any sense of doing the right thing; it’s another thing to drag his son into the muck, and that is what he may be doing in having him watch over some of his cash. It’s an element of what lies ahead, and this will leave Ryan in a spot where he’s compromised between this tie in his past and the cop he wants to be in the present.

When Andy, Maya and Dean respond to a call, they find an injured woman with amnesia; but soon into the treatment process, they realize there is much more to her story. Meanwhile, Captain Sullivan takes Ben and Jack on a house call that quickly becomes a close call for the patient they’re treating, while Ryan may not have seen the last of his father.
The idea with Station 19 is the same as its predecessor in Grey’s Anatomy — you want to ensure that there are new victims, patients, or effectively anyone that you gotta save. It’s a part of the “how to save a life” mantra in this universe. But you also don’t want this show to be all about that since otherwise you may end up seeing a lot of the same stories over and over. These people matter outside of their job; that’s why we’re highlighting things like Ryan’s dad and then also Andy’s personal life, which is going to get complicated (big shocker) over the next few weeks.
